Audience Chat
Audience Chat is a conversation with your audiences. Pick a single persona to interview, or a focus group of up to ten to hear how a panel debates a question. Sessions are saved and have permalinks, so a conversation can be resumed or shared with a colleague in the workspace.
Starting a conversation
- From Audience Chat in the sidebar, choose a category, a panel or the ★ Favourites chip and pick your participants.
- From a scorecard, click Chat with focus group to bring the same panel and document into a chat.
- From the Narrative Testing Studio, open the focus group for a run.
- From a project band, choose an audience row's Chat action.
Attachments
Attach a PDF, Word or PowerPoint file, or a spreadsheet, to a session and the personas will read it. Attachments are stored with the session.
Web grounding
Persona chat sends your question to the configured model with web-search grounding on by default, so the model may run web searches derived from the question to bring in recent context. Your text is not used to train the model. Kumkuat can switch web grounding off for your workspace on request, in which case the persona answers only from its profile, its grounded context and your stored documents. See Model provider controls.
From Claude and Slack
The same conversations are available from Claude Desktop and Claude Code through the chat MCP tool in persona mode, and from Slack with /audience [audience name] [message]. See Integrations.
