Audience Surveys
Where a scorecard gives you narrative judgments, a survey gives you numbers. Each persona rates the subject across a set of dimensions, and Kumkuat aggregates the ratings deterministically so the same inputs always produce the same totals.
Running a survey
- Open Audience Surveys under Audiences and start a run from the Studio.
- Choose the document or subject, the audiences, and a questionnaire.
- Stage 0 extracts the items to rate (for example the innovations, claims or messages in the document). Stage A fans out to every persona for ratings. Stage B aggregates and writes a verdict.
- Open the run for the heatmap (audiences by dimension) and the scorecard, and export either as HTML or PowerPoint.
Runs that stall are reconciled automatically when you reopen them.
Custom questionnaires
The default questionnaire covers the dimensions most communicators track. Under Questionnaires you can define your own dimensions with their scale and description; the survey adapts end to end, including the axes on the heatmap and scorecard. Questionnaires are versioned so a rerun with a changed questionnaire is not confused with the previous run.
Grounding
Survey runs are grounded once per run: the retrieval that supports the persona ratings is performed for the run as a whole, not per answer, which keeps the ratings comparable across dimensions.
Audience Surveys is enabled per workspace. If the menu item is greyed out, ask your Kumkuat contact.
