Personas
Personas mimic real stakeholders with specific ideologies, objectives and pain points. They are useful for understanding how those people would react to your messaging, product launches or financial reports. After you upload documents and complete the workspace wizard, you will already have a list of personas generated around your company's profile; you can edit these, install more from the Marketplace, or build your own.

What a persona holds
| Section | Fields |
|---|---|
| Basic information | Name, description (who they are and their viewpoint), category, communication tone, avatar |
| Characteristics | Key interests, primary concerns, communication preferences (how they respond to certain inputs) |
| Writing samples | Documents whose voice the persona should imitate |
| Linked sources | Website, LinkedIn, X, Bluesky, Truth Social, uploaded files and knowledge bases used for grounding |
| Language | The market language the persona reads and answers in |
| Advanced | The compiled prompt preview, refresh policy and voice profiles |

Ways to create a persona
- Type it — fill the form; Auto Generate Fields drafts interests, concerns and preferences from the name and description.
- Chat onboarding — describe who you need in the assistant and it drafts the persona for you to confirm.
- Import — a spreadsheet row, with optional AI enrichment (see Choosing your audiences).
- Install from the Marketplace — a grounded public-figure persona, which you can then adapt.
- Build in the background — from the Audience Library, ask Kumkuat to research a list of names; each build runs as a job and rings the notification bell when the persona is ready.
Creating a persona requires the persona-write permission. In every path the drafted profile is shown to a person and confirmed before it is used, and it can be edited at any time afterwards.
Testing a persona
Select a document and, optionally, a question, then Run Test. The response is the same decision-ready view used on scorecards: an audience score, a count of what resonates, is mixed or doesn't land, and key judgments with a recommendation each.

Keeping personas current
Grounded context is refreshed on the persona's refresh policy, and manually with Refresh. When a knowledge base linked to the persona is crawled, new documents can be used as real-event checks of whether the persona still reacts in character. Persona health dashboards are in preview; ask your Kumkuat contact if you want them enabled.
Voice profiles
For executives in your own company, Kumkuat can analyse speeches and calls to build a voice profile used by Content Writing to draft in that person's voice. Several profiles can exist per person, with one set as default. See Entities and executive voices.
