Compare Narratives

Compare Narratives (called Insights in earlier versions) answers the question "what are we saying about this theme, and how does it compare?". It works from the signals extracted from your documents against the workspace's pillars and themes.

AI Comparative Analysis page in dark mode showing pillar and theme chips, comparison type, selected company, a drill-down question, and a generated report with At-a-glance, Similarities, Key Differences and Unique Perspectives sections
A company comparison on the theme Resilient Supply & Manufacturing, with a focused drill-down question.

Setting up a comparison

  1. Pick themes. Click a pillar to select all its themes, or choose individual themes. Each theme is colour-coded to its pillar. With several themes selected, results appear in theme tabs.
  2. Choose the comparison type. Executive comparison sets named executives against each other. Company comparison compares companies' collective positions using statements from all their executives.
  3. Select the entities, then Generate All AI Insights.

Reading the output

Each theme produces four sections, each collapsible:

  • At-a-glance — a short summary for quick comparison.
  • Similarities — where the entities agree.
  • Key differences — where they diverge.
  • Unique perspectives — each entity's distinctive positions and strengths.

Every conclusion is backed by statements pulled from your documents; expand the entity card at the bottom to read them. Switch between the Narrative and Matrix views to read prose or scan a grid.

Drill-down questions

Ask a specific follow-up ("How are supply chains evolving?") and Generate Focused Report to get a report restricted to that question across the selected theme and entities.

Where themes come from

Themes are your workspace's signal templates, grouped into pillars. See Themes and signals to create or bulk-upload them.
