June 2026

Covers: releases from 1 to 30 June 2026

June was the 2.2.0 release on the 17th, followed by two weeks of follow-on work: alerts delivered to Slack, a SharePoint / OneDrive connector for knowledge bases, and Narrative Testing downloads.

Kumkuat 2.2.0

Released 17 June 2026. This release is our biggest yet. We've added three brand-new ways to pressure-test and sharpen your messaging — Narrative Testing Studio, Audience Surveys and Custom Alerts — plus a more grounded persona experience, a new Claude Desktop / Claude Code integration, support for the latest AI models, and a wide range of content-creation and performance improvements.

Narrative Testing Studio (new)

Put your narrative in front of AI audiences before it goes live. The new studio runs your message through your target personas, finds the gaps, and hands you a polished, branded report.

  • Test any message against your audiences and get a clear verdict on where it lands and where it falls short.
  • Gap analysis with evidence — see exactly which claims need support, with "evidence to deploy" cards that tell you what to add.
  • Web-research backed evidence — the studio can pull in fresh, web-sourced supporting evidence for the gaps that matter.
  • Branded exports — download an interactive HTML report or a PowerPoint deck styled to your brand template.
  • Compare versions — see how a revised narrative stacks up against the previous run.
  • Chat with your focus group — open a live conversation with the simulated audience to dig deeper.
  • Reusable briefs & report types — save your methodology and custom report formats for repeat use.

Audience Surveys (new)

Get structured, quantified reactions from your personas — not just narrative feedback, but ratings you can chart and track.

  • Persona ratings at scale across the dimensions you care about.
  • Custom questionnaires — define your own rating dimensions and the survey adapts end-to-end.
  • Visual results — heatmaps and scorecards that render to both shareable HTML and PowerPoint.
  • Reliable, repeatable scoring with deterministic aggregation behind every number.

Custom Alerts (new)

Stay on top of what matters with scheduled, on-brand monitoring digests.

  • Build alerts with a guided wizard — pick a template, choose your audiences, and preview the digest before you save.
  • Templates for common needs, including a new Competitive Edge template.
  • Scheduled delivery routed where your team works.
  • On-brand digests themed to your workspace.
  • In-app notification bell with real unread counts so nothing slips by.

Grounded persona context (new)

Personas now draw on richer, automatically maintained background context, so their reactions are better grounded in who they actually are — and that context refreshes as it's used.

Claude Desktop & Claude Code integration (new)

A new integration lets you work with your Kumkuat audiences and reactions directly from Claude Desktop and Claude Code, bringing your personas into the tools you already use. See Claude Desktop and Claude Code.

Content Creation improvements

  • Track Edits is now available to everyone, with your preference remembered per project tab.
  • Writing guidance — add tone and direction in Content Setup so drafts come back closer to what you want.
  • Rewrite on demand — request a rewrite with extra context based on audience feedback.
  • Speech-to-text dictation in input fields.
  • Edit and duplicate projects directly from your project list.
  • Cleaner drafts — no stray formatting characters, no truncated titles.
  • Smoother editing — synchronized accept/reject with undo, and your work stays put while reactions and rewrites run.

Newer AI models

  • Claude Opus 4.8 and the latest Gemini 3.x models are now available in your workspace settings.

Marketplace

  • Browse the marketplace before joining, and install multiple items at once. Personas now show avatars for easier scanning.

Faster & more reliable

  • Faster page loads across the app, with smoother loading states and quicker audience views.
  • Background uploads — large document uploads no longer make you wait.
  • More accurate data — improved handling of earnings-call dates, speaker labels, and crawled-article links.

Account & workspace management

  • Easier invitations — resend pending invites, reliable invite-link copying, and correctly formatted invitation emails.
  • More resilient sign-in and dependable default-workspace handling.

Late June

  • Alerts to Slack. Connect Slack under Workspace settings and route any alert to a channel; digests are formatted for Slack. See Slack.
  • Narrative Testing downloads: a Download menu with Memo PDF and PowerPoint.
  • Alert reports are grounded in your own press releases, with correct dates for the requested window.
  • SharePoint / OneDrive connector for knowledge bases: connect, browse and add a library. See Knowledge bases.
  • Invitations can be restricted to allowed email domains.
